Sp apparently if you have an underage account, you cannot migrate to a new device, so a child who has lovingly played the games for several months just needs to be told - oh well, your progress is all thrown away cause your tablet is not working well and we cant move the game to your new device - Awesome , just awesome

If your kid has been playing for months then they could start a new account with adult tag and install it in your new device. Would be better if they played outside instead of a game in its decline.

I think the age is actually linked to the device, not the account. On android, I think you can log out, uninstall, reinstall, play the guest account and sign in with an older age, then logout of the guest account and sign back in with the Google account. On Apple, you might have to change something in Game Center.Other options are just to start a new account, underage or otherwise. There's not a lot of progress after only a few months, and kids are pretty resilient.

I recently changed my account from a kids account to adult (son got bored after a couple of weeks, I took it over about 18 months ago). Finally got round to changing it, had to send in a copy of ID (passport).
OP could then save it to FB / Game Center etc. and be able to move it to new device.

Consider this blessing. Uninstall the game and tell your kid to go play almost any other game out there.
