I've done auto, I've done manual. After 20 tries , this piece of unadulterated trash heep of an event isn't worth it. Cg can take shards and stuff it some place unpleasant
You are a perfect example of the unfortunate dynamic I mentioned above: some people are honestly going to give it real effort, get frustrated, and stop trying. But by virtue of RNG some ppl are going to get it in the first 3-5 tries on auto and, having invested less than you, will get more rewards.
I don't mind an event that requires manual play to get the strategy right. And I don't mind an event that you can auto if you're willing to try 3-5 times. But one way or another there has to be an option that doesn't frustrate the player and get them angry at the designers. That balance was not struck here, based on what I'm seeing.
