By the time KOTOR 2 rolls around kreia wasnt dark. She could be classified as either "grey" or as a "dark jedi" but she was no longer sith thats for sure. The sith hunted her and she killed the jedi council, she was on her own team. More evidence of this is shown in the NarShadaa opening moral choice with the man that begs for money. Here she berates you for both your choices, no matter if they are light or dark. Also seen after the confrontation with the council where she strikes you down for acting as a sith.
