Luke Skywalker - rebel attacker

Do you think we need to keep gearing this toon for the next event / incarnation of Luke/ commander Luke / jedi Luke? Or was that mostly for the last flash events? I have a 6* .. am I wasting my time going to 7* or g9, 10 or 11?
Thoughts?

Even if they don't rework or morph him, you gotta think at some point they'll release his x-wing so he's at least viable in fleet like JC, Plo, etc.
