I doubt that. There are very few cases where 2 different teams have the same mechanic. CLS counter-based teams rely on heavy damage, while Saxon lead counter teams rely on his assists. Nihilus lead gives up protection for more health and health steal, while Maul lead gives the "whack-a-Sith" mechanic. zFinn uses 1 expose at a time while constantly gaining TM, while Jyn turns every debuff into an expose.

In short, copying the same mechanic is unlikely. I would love for the red robes to get some love, but not just turn them into old Ben, the Imperial version.

That is true. I already started farming Sith Trooper and Shoretrooper.

RG seems like such a waste for those who started the game early. I wish he can find his place/synergy just like the new toons they introduce. Especially the ones they introduce after each Star Wars movie.

How about a special ability

Cover Gain the cover buff for one turn. Cover: When an ally is attacked royal guard puts himself between the attacker and his target and takes the hit. If Palpatine is attacked when cover is active gain defense up prior to taking the hit.

That's the power creep.. new chars decimated old chars haha. I can imagine use RG in GK zariss timeout team. RG is fit imo with team with large health pool. But not with papa palpi :sweat_smile:

The only Palpatine royal guard synergy at the moment is that Palpatine has a mass stun, royal guard can follow that up and stun anyone Palpatine's didn't catch.

It's not enough to be useful imo.

You mean taunt. Because that's what cover sounds like.

Maybe they mean even characters that ignore taunt

I admit, I'm a bit hooked on RG. Probably should think about dropping him but love him being there, in the fray.
