Massive issue with pheonix squad. Bug please fix

So the pheonix squad are a introductory team that many people start with. But has one interaction that wastes about 7 seconds of battle time everytime it happens.

So I think I have narrowed it down to attacking a unit with damage immunity.

When chopper assists with the team he does this stupid animation that takes 6-10 seconds away when it dosent need to be there. 

In a game where the normal time is 5 minutes, and every turn with chopper assisting 50% of the battle is spent watching a badly coded interaction tick the clock away. 

I'm sure it's a very easy fix. So please consider fixing this as it is VERY annoying.
