[MEGATHREAD] Road Ahead: June 2022 - Datacrons

I mean today is trash day but wasn’t expecting this to be in the dumpster too.

So if I’m reading this right the only characters that get specific bonuses in the first set are:


Characters Specific Bonuses: Fifth Brother, Second Sister, Jedi Master Kenobi, Grand Master Yoda, Aayla Secura, Rey (Galactic Legend), Finn, Resistance Trooper

And second set

CHARACTER SPECIFIC BONUSES: Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, Obi-wan Kenobi (Old Ben), Mon Mothma, Commander Luke Skywalker, Ezra Bridger

That’s a lot of ls toons with the only ds being inquisitors. Obviously makes sense considering the factions are gr, inq, resistance and rebel Jedi in set 2. Not sure why the most useful and powerful gl was chosen to be in the first set if we’re trying to shake up the meta temporarily.

Wow, so 20 pages of pictures and text to talk about 2 things and not address all the needed updates and improvements like gear 1.0 phase 2, let alone part 2.0 and no HSTR sim, QOL updates in general, really sad. Glad my company doesn’t run this way with respect to customers needs.

This would be less irritating if it datacons were usable in Conquest or if this road ahead came with some gear change updates. So far the last update we've had on the multi-part gear changes is a rumor from the SW Celebration saying they're done and bailing on their promise. The last official update was what, nine months ago? Come on...

Where is the Rest ? where are the new Galactic Legends ? Ships ?

I can promise you NO ONE wants this. Light spenders, heavy spenders or F2P. No one. So unoriginal too…you literally just combined mods, relics and discs from conquest for a cash grab. We want content not this crap

I'm trying real hard to not come off super negative but I also don't like the sound of this at all so approaching this at absolute face value if the intent is to empower older squads or other parts of your roster why does so much of this seem to just empower GLs? Also is this really it? No new game modes? No longer term characters to shoot for? This just seems like yet another layer of monetization over squads and with nowhere to use them just seems like a way to reduce crystal income in GAC by making people invest in this or lose ranks

This is highly dissappointing. WTF is this Road Ahead? Theres nothing to be hyped about, no big announcements that we already didnt know, and the focus solely on Datacons??? BORING.

This is just another example of how cg doesn't care about what the player base wants. We don't want more progression systems. We dont want to have to read a book before we load into battle as to what datacron the other team has. You are so out of touch with the real playerbase its a joke. U can still make good money and give us what we want. Its simple and i wish i could swear right now. WE WANT A RAID. No Excuses of oh they can finish it easy. Bollocks ! Why even create a game if thats going to be your excuse. Oh we cant create a game coz someone might finish it easy. No game would be created with that logic. Cpit was ALREADY THERE. All u had to do was play around with values. We want a practice mode. Let US do the theory crafting. Charge me for it. Charge me $10 a month for some mode where i can practice. Better than datacrons by a mile. We have plenty of characters. Great powerful toons. Well done honestly but now we don't need them any more powerful for now. We just want to be able to play around with them in a non competitive mode that is practice for competitive modes. WAKE UP!

I haven't played with them yet obviously but I have to say I am far far from impressed. This is what we've been waiting for? Hard pass, I will I guess interact with them in whatever the minimal way possible is but my opinion of them is unchanged from the leak I am not excited for this even a little bit and they have nothing else for us...sigh.
