I can't afford to put children of EA's employees through college. I have two kids a spouse and one income.
Yet, I found value in GoH to support the development of the game by contributing respectable amount of funds. $300 is respectable, considering xbox1 and PS4 cost this much, and yet I have invested hundreds into an APPLICATION. There have been some hiccups in the past that made me question my investment, but EA seemed to have adjusted things according. But alas, the catering to the 1% has outweighed the majority, thus inevitable shorting the shelf life of this app.
It's only a matter of time before something new and fresh comes around and GoH will leave a bitter taste is the mouths of those that have invested. The cash cow will die and they'll have to reinvent a SW game that's VR. And so, I cut my funding for the next best thing.
