you need some Gear level 9s on your team i did it with hera, chopper, ezra, kanon, and zeb, it took a few trys but i had 3 gear 9s in ezra, hera, and chopper, and g8 for zeb and kanon. ezra is your damage dealer, focus on using him to do the real damage and the others to either support damage or keep everyone alive. also omega as many abilities as possible that really helps.
No you don't. I got Thrawn with all G8 Phoenix (Chopper instead of Sabine of course) and arena mods, didn't even put stun guns on them. Only took like 5 attempts to get decent RNG. They key is using your abilities smart.
