Mod Store Update

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I've never bought mods out of the Mod Store. They seem WAY overpriced. Like college degree from Sanford Brown overpriced. (Google it if you don't get that). I have however sold the wrong mods several times. I think updating the Mod Store to hold our sold mods for 24 hours would be a better use of it. That way if we sold the wrong mods we could go back and purchase, now stay with me on this, for the exact same price we sold them for. 3.6k crystals for a 2x crit chance that give health on a holiday array is worthless to me. That offensive mod I planned on putting on Ventress that increased her speed, crit damage and gave a 12.5% critical hit chance is what I'm looking to buy...for that 95k in credits you gave me for it.

So please, update the Mod Store so that we can buy back our mods that we have sold in the last 24 hours. Thank you!
  • I've bought several mods from the mod store. Much less frustrating than farming for weeks (including refreshes of cantina energy) just hoping to find that one 5 dot 30 speed arrow or 5 dot crit damage triangle. Not to mention giving up shard farming with that energy.

3k crystals, or even better, 3m credits, is more than worth it in my book.

And why would I want to buy a mod I just sold?
  • If it’s a really good one, several M is worth it. If mod store can only purchase sold mod, then it will be truly useless.
  • I like the Mod store as it is, though I wouldn't mind seeing more mods selling for credits vs. crystals. As for selling mods by accident--that sucks. I don't think I've done that before, but if there is a way to help prevent that from happening, that would be cool too.
  • It's hard to sell mods by mistake. You actually have to go out of your way to make that mistake so I disagree on the need for a buy back feature.

As far as the guy that said he's happy to buy a single mod for 3k crystals, you're off your rocker. Mods available for 3m is ok with me but I would like to see the crystal costs drastically reduced.

I've earned enough crystals as I've played to make it worth it once or twice. Yes credits are a better value, but when I needed a 30 speed arrow for my arena team, I grabbed it.

And I've spent $20 total on the game so it's not like I'm buying vaults to obtain mods. 6k in crystals over 6 months is not that big of an investment if you're earning 500ish crystals a day from arena and fleet.

Your choice but the opportunity cost is massive. The potential mods and the amount of money you can make from trash mods from 3k crystals...I can't imagine an individual mod that's worth that, esp as a light spender.
  • I usually find what I need in a couple of days. I don't know how you guys get the millions of credits that you can waste on a mod, I can only drop like 200 crystals every couple of days for refreshes to get the mods I need. Not sure how you can justify dropping 3k in crystals for a mod, unless your dropping real money for it.

This isn't the first time I've sold a mod I was intending to keep. Normally I attach the mod first and then sell the other and use the credits to upgrade the mod. But I didn't do that this time and when I hit the gold mods I sold the one I intended to attach on accident. Mistakes happen, that's the thought process of being able to buy your mods back.

Either you're very lucky or I'm very unlucky. Either way I've farmed mods for weeks and come up with like one good mod.

With all the new content that has come our way, all my cantina energy has been taken up by shard farming anyway.

Look at it this way - Do the $50 Google Play gift card three times, that's basically three arena mods worth of crystals. You don't even have to spend the money on the game.

I'm not saying it's easy decision to spend crystals on mods, I've only done it twice (I think) myself because yeah the opportunity cost is high. Credits are much easier to come by and are the preferred method.
