Real-time, live PvP battles are a necessity for the long-term. Devs have repeatedly said they are fans of MTG and card games shouldn’t be simulated on one side by AI. I really, really hope this has been on CG’s radar for awhile and are planning on implementing it in the future.
Ideally a real-time PvP mode that is strictly used for character strategy where everyone has access to maxed characters with fixed-stats sets of mod pools which can only be used for this mode.
This would open up the possibility for an esports scene and IMO would spark major interest across the board.
