After spending several decades by himself on a rock island, you would think Luke would be so in-tune with the Force that no level of power would scare him. I mean after ROTJ, he was basically the only "force-user" in the entire galaxy.
Maybe Rey upsets him so she runs off, only to return later as to finish her training with Luke, only to find him sickly and weak. She puts him in his tiny bed in his tiny home by a swamp and watches him sleep and fade away with the force, but only after he tells Rey she can't be a real Jedi until she faces Kylo.
And JJ Abrams laughs his way to the bank.
Most plausible. But this happens in episode 9. Rey has to run away from Luke’s training after a vision to rescue her friends from a LothWolf den in the clouds. All of this takes place after the sand battle on planet Choth. Rey will also be knocked off her giant seahorse while checking out a crashed meteor by a giant sea wampa which looks remarkedly like the dragon from GOT. Meanwhile Finn will be released from his carbonite med pod by Chewie and Poe, disguised as Twilek slave dancers in a space casino. The movie ends on board the Mon Cal cruiser Raddic, which looks amazingly like Home One withall the Heroes hugging and Luke finally having that 35 year old hole in his mechanical hand repaired from Jabba’s sail barge.
