There were big gaps between the original legendary events and for a long time we only had the 2. Then, to the OP's point, they gave us 5 new ones in a year, so now they're dialing it back down to work on other things and let players get caught up. There will be others, and in the interim I'm stoked that they introduced Mythic events so we can continue to play those legendary events. Unlocking a 7* toon is nice, but I'm personally glad there's a break between panic farms. The BB8 and JTR panic farms were stressful.
