The majority of players not wanting challenge gears from raids were not aware they would need a ridiculous amount of gold eyeballs. Before they implemented it a large number of players actually commented that golden eyeballs were still welcome.
But of course cg doesnt care so much about those players because they tend to be the ones who would spend anyway
I have thousands of the challenge gold eye balls. I'm glad they removed them. You still get them from challenges so still better to not have them in the raids.
How many G12 toons do you have?.....
Probably around 10 or so. But there are so many non challenge gear pieces that are a bottle neck that those are the pieces needed to be dropped in the raids. If challege gear gets scarce, which it does sometimes, (Carbontis for example) the answer is to make it more widely available in stores or to make a harder tier that drops more. Not to nake me get it for raid rewards rather than harder to obtain poeces I need.
