Noticing a consistent trend here

The complaining is ridiculous. I remember when they added bounty hunter shards to every level. People COMPLAINED!! What the bloody hell? Bossk was level 8 or 9, so yes it was 20 energy. But you had 12 different nodes to farm him without paying for node refreshes. If you didn't need the shards, then bonus shard shop currency.
I ponder the complaints if all players were given a 7 star, gear 12 Jedi Luke.
You do realize that there is some middle ground between this extremely short farming window and getting everything immediately with no effort, right? This middle ground is what most people want, it's not that hard to understand. If Revan was released a month or two later, the reaction would probably be vastly different.
This *is* the middle ground.
The character is released next week for folks who want to spend a whole bunch of money on a video game and they get to use it willy-nilly for a couple months, then it's released for free to everyone else.
It was the same for Jedi Rey, it was the same for Commander Luke (before people revise the history, there was a huge upset over Old Ben being needed because he hadn't been good for a year, so people didn't bother farming him. Sure, he'd been out forever, but tons of people were locked out because Ben, back then, was bad.), and it'll probably be the same for whoever the fourth hero's journey is.
It's nice of them to tell us what we'll need four or five months in advance of needing it. So start farming now.
