One change to improve Conquest

While there are many things that could be changed about conquest, one change I would really like to see is getting rid of the hard path.

Make it so any path gets you the same number of disk nodes, just like it was at the start.

With the hard path, the rest of the map may as well not exist for me. I need the options to get disks for loadouts, and for the chance of finding some of the critical techs for getting feats done. It was on the second to last disk node in sector 5 when I finally got a disk that was going to allow me to do some of the feats this time, so I felt the need to stay on the hard path no matter what.

I think I could count on one hand the number of times I even looked at a node off the hard path in the last 4 or 5 conquests.

The map, and plotting your path, was one of the interesting aspects of conquest, and I think that is gone now.
  • I'd rather they change the cost of swapping disks. I think 7 energy is a bit steep. Should honestly just be 0 or maybe 1 pr. star/dot.
  • Get kind of boring fighting the exact same 5 teams, then facing the exact same time like 3 times in a row.

    Do the devs know the amount of teams out there they can make?

    This...so much this. This round of conquest, the repeats and 3 times in a row is just stupid...especially when its GAS/501....Did Tuskens and bounty hunters get fired from conquest?
  • I will, wherever possible, stay on path til I can see the options. But quite honestly being that rigid is so much worse for how I play conquest. E.g. to me it's almost imperative to have a nest team per sector. The feat repeatability and efficiency is SO much more valuable over the course of two weeks than a disk I might still get later. I'll confess, I'm a conquest fan boy. I get bored as hell when it ain't around. I dint really care if they keep the hard path. It's existence doesn't take away from theorycraft and challenge for me.

  • Allowing datacrons to be used in conquest and/or TB. Theyre already gated behind reliced level so most people in hard mode will be the ones using them. Those with all 6 GL will still have no issue but with less rng in some fights. Those with less then 6 GL, it could help with obnoxious fights and for both sides, it slightly helps the repetitive for doing fights over and over giving less rng to them. Key word slight as people still need motivation in the first place to do the repetitive battles

    Pretty sure it was never 10. It was 15 at launch.


    At launch everyone had to do normal first and the initial cost there was 10 and then in hard next round 15 I think, but I am not 100% sure.
