It has been asked by the community for years, and still, we've been completely ignored. You keep adding useless and never-seen-before characters but
Theres a podcast in which the head character developer explains hes not fond of main characters in star wars saga, he prefers to push out those no frill no, name brand dudes which is why we have coruscant cop and a dozen ewoks
Ha. If it's the quote I'm thinking of that's not even remotely what he said. But if it fits your narrative then twist it however you like.
The one I saw I think was on ahnaldt101's channel
He said podcast, not YouTube channel.
I looked it up. On the Galactic War Report podcast, a dev was talking about the Nightsister rework in October. One of the hosts mentioned that NS Spirit, and Zombie have very effective yet simple kits. The dev (who just designs toons, and doesn't dictate which toons get added) said he enjoyed designing the generic toons for that reason. They don't need tons of complicated abilities.
A dev saying that simple kits are fun to design gets taken by less than honest individuals looking for something to cry about. Then they twist that to claim that the person in charge prefers to deny us the characters we like to push his perverse preference for worthless nobodies... or whatever silly nonsense he said. I've heard similar dishonest misrepresentations of that interview from several people with complaint agendas.

Disney is known for flooding the market once it buys the rights to something and squeezing out all of the use from its trademarks.
So, Padme, along with Revan, and any other character before the Disney takeover is off the table I predict.
I disagree with your conclusion based on your own reasoning. They will definitely focus on cross promoting with movies whenever those come out. But in the long stretches between movies they will add other stuff from the past that is highly popular in an effort to squeeze everything out of the Star Wars brand. I just doubt that Padme is anywhere near the top of that list.
