I see both sides of the debate here but I think it boils down to 'paying the bill's so to speak.
I started just over a year ago and at that time Sith were still able to compete at the highest level. I never expected that a year later my arena team would succumb to under geared, zero zeta rebel squads. The game evolved so now I had to. Makes sense.
I had the monster chore of Nihilus and I agree, the sense of achievement was MASSIVE. Now, however, I'm frantically farming plan B to survive. I'm staying dark side and opted for Empire. ZVeers, Starck, Shore, Death and either Snow/Storm. Half way to unlocking Wampa for the fun of it, lol.
Now it's where I see the other side. 5 sims and zero Deathtrooper shards this morning, 1 for Shoretrooper and later I'll be simming for Baze. All slow farms. Where the frustration lies is the single sim toons of high energy. Clone Sergeant can be simmed in 3 places and bought from 2 stores. Yet a year since release and despite both having a ship, Shore and Death remain premium farms. They should be in the fleet store, even at the terrible rate of Grevious.
In conclusion, both sides have a point but the solution remains in EA/CG hands. I think QoL plus a HUGE spring cleaning of stores and nodes for toons is desperately needed.
Keep it a challenge and a sense of achievement but also balance the board a bit.
