Given the recent price tags, I would highly expect very selective purchases on these characters. The release cadence along with $450 tags pretty much ensures that most whales have to budget significantly.
More characters are welcome for sure, but whales are starting to realise that the benefits of having all the new toons are limited since the game modes they can be run in can already be mastered using existing kit.
Just saying, GvG or another relevant game mode will need to come in soon.
