Reddit

It really annoys me that CG/EA wants to encourage my kids to go on to reddit to get the latest updates from developers on this game, rather than being able to pick up the info here.

Reddit to me is a hot pot of trolls, low iq failures (the word I want to use begins with re and ends in tards), perverts, pedos, and generally security guards and it administrators who are bored in their jobs and have become fed up with getting off to midget pron.

It would be far better in my view for CG/EA to encourage the developers to interact with their paying customers on this forum than having to go into reddit.
  • Why bring your kids into it?

And if they are Internet-literate enough to find a swgoh subreddit on the Internet, then I hate to break it to you but they are probably smart enough to find pron and whatever nefarious things lurk on the web.

If you don't want your kids on reddit, make that your responsibility as a parent instead of blaming others for your children's viewing habits.

As for CG/EA, they have a link in-game directing players to this forum, not reddit. How would your "kids" know about reddit anyways? Oh that's right, they probably used it before SWGOH was a thing. No one is encouraging people to go to reddit , and if certain employees of CG want to post on reddit that is their prerogative. I'm sure CG isn't some sort of draconian company that prevents their employees from posting on Twitter, reddit, FB, etc.

Eventually the most important info makes it here anyways. I don't use reddit and I'm still up to date on this game. Perhaps your "kids" can do the same.

CG/EA has never encouraged you or your kids or anyone else to do anything on Reddit...

... and given your particular history of obnoxious posts here, you are really the last one to be complaining about anything there.
I prefer posting here, but the overall quality of discussions is at least as good in the SWGOH subreddit as this forum.
If you don't want your kids going somewhere you don't like, try acting like a parent and dealing with it yourself.
  • Thanks for your inputs. Valuable all.

I am referring to posts on this forum from CG/EA saying that devs can post in game stuff on reddit and it is good for the game if they do so. It's not. Devs should interact with their paying customers on this forum.

I never said my kids are allowed on reddit. Comprehension skills would benefit some of you.

They'd benefit you even more. Nobody from CG/EA ever "encouraged your kids" to do anything on Reddit, so this whole thread is nonsense.
What they said is that the devs are free to do as they please in their free time, including posting on Reddit if they want to. Your kids' relationship with Reddit is your business alone, not theirs.

You should be questioning your ability to get a point across rather than our comprehension skills. You said EA was encouraging your kids to use Reddit.

I would say you were trying to use your kids in a thinly veiled attempt to garner sympathy but that it actually backfired on you.

Back to to your kids though, if your kids aren't allowed on reddit, then it wouldnt matter if EA/CG posted on reddit, since your kids would never see the posts anyways. They could just wait until the relevant posts make their way to this forum.
  • I see @Qeltar you are still a little sore where the sun don't shine. Try playing the ball, not the man.

I have no problem with devs going on reddit in their free time. Besides the fact there is a world out there.

But EA/CG should stop them posting in-game mechanics / secrets there. Any other company would want that info protected. But instead this games latest info and info on how it works is posted on a public website, not the forums setup for the purpose.

IF the info posted does eventually find its way back here it is at best delayed.

Sorry, which of us was it that posted this? "Reddit to me is a hot pot of trolls, low iq failures (the word I want to use begins with re and ends in tards), perverts, ****, and generally security guards and it administrators who are bored in their jobs and have become fed up with getting off to midget pron."
Your kids have far bigger problems than Reddit.
