Rex has peaked.

Are you talking about the meta report? Thrawn is only in 1% of #1 teams right now. I think his usage will grow as he's a strong individual character but I don't think his leader ability is particularly great so he won't elevate Empire enough to have a big effect on the meta. Rex's usage is stagnant because the Chaze growth seems to be causing a net raise in Wedge leadership. Arena diversity is poor and getting worse:

Rex lead dropped 2 points from last I looked and wedge and Maul stayed put. Mark my words in a month Rex will be under 33 percent and him and wedge will account for less than 50 percent of teams.

It all depends what team you are running. The triple cleanse teams are tricky to beat when you are running dark side squads.

I would say it would depend on when Fulcrum becomes available through other means. Once people start getting her to 7* I think you might see a variety of teams built around her

The number of total characters used is greater than the number of teams the list is based on x5, I'm guessing because some players rank #1 with more than one team. But anyways the percentaes for each character often go up or down a point or two each day, longer term trends are more significant. And I predict that Baze/Chirrut will continue their slow upward climb until they are nerfed either directly or indirectly (by new gear, a new power creep character, a new Zeta, etc.).

Actually surprised how low thrawn and Tarkin are in the meta reports for lead, last time I checked there were a couple thrawn leads in top 4 and a Tarkin in my shard

Why are you surprised? Most people won't switch from their Chaze+ GK teams since they don't have to. And Wedge users are happy since R2 gave them a 3rd life. They will either incorporate Thrawn like DN into their team or ignore him altogheter. With the exception of Zaul for a very short time, nothing that CG has done in this year affected their domination and at at this point the only thing that can replace them can only be a reworked/new Resistance or FO team after Ep. 8.

Meta is the same.. Lots of Nihilus, GK and Chaze. The teams are diverse, but the individual characters continue to be spammed.

The meta report only records team comp at payout. If someone uses Thrawn on offense and then puts in another squad for defense, then that's going to skew the numbers to be lower than they actually are.
