The short version: We all expected this, but the devs flat out lied during their announcement of the event.
"To participate, players will need the scavenger version of Rey, currently available in the game. You can look forward to playing as Rey (Scavenger) in her Hero’s Journey event, in support of the worldwide theatrical release of Star Wars™: The Last Jedi this December."
Lies. To Participate, you need to have spent money on the game as getting vet Han and Chewie to 7* is impossible via f2p. This is a flat out lie. Nothing more @CG_Kozispoon
You wording, all you needed to participate is Rey. If you mean all you need to get 25 shards for a character that can't and won't be unlocked for the next 4 or 5 events, maybe a year from now, or 6 months, or whenever we run it again", then yes, that's 'what you need to participate.
Please revise your post to say, "All you need to participate is farming 5 First Order Characters, two of which are useless, but you get a droid that won't use. But we made a tfp with a stripe on his face and kylo with no pants, er... no mask, and that WOULD make it easier to get First Order characters, except that we dropped the minimum shards in a package and raised the crystal price for them. Then, raise em to 7 star and then kit them with good mods, and then do the same with brand new characters that haven't been out long enough to farm with f2p!"
This is pathetic. We all EXPECTED a clone of the CLS event (requiring a droid from farming other characters and a hodge podge 7* team), but I'm pretty sure the moderator team spent more time deleting posts and moving posts about asking for clarification on the requirements for the event than it would have taken you to for just say it like it actually was. So please, good god, just PLEASE do yourself a favor and spend more time answering questions. You're paying moderators to move questions to the right forums that wouldn't have to be asked if you did your job right in the first place.
You said just Rey, make it just Rey, or at least have the decency to own your mistake.
I know you're here to make money, but this is just low.
