RNG workaround is it possible?

So I know that RNG plays a huge role in how well a player does in battle usually against computer controlled enemies mostly like the ones in special events. I've always found this to be extremely annoying considering all the effort we put into character development and mod management. What I don't understand is why does it have to even be there at all? Youd think that by overpowering toons beyond the recommended relic levels and using the best mods would somehow prevent this factor from being a major setback but apparently not. It's like what is the point of developing squads for events if regardless of how powerful they are they can be wiped out easily at high level as if they were at the recommended level.

    Without rng, the whole potency/tenacity mechanism wouldn't work.

    Without rng there is no way to decide who goes first when two toons have the same turn meter.

    Without the damage or assist rolls, battles would become too predictable and boring.

    That's completely understandable but it just seems odd that for older events like those that came before relics and other more recent character development updates are made simple by just moderately overpowering toons but when you look at events like general Skywalker it wont matter how over powered and well moded the squads are there is always a high chance of getting mercilessly slaughtered and the only chance of victory is constantly reentering the event in hopes that rng will be in your favor.
  • If RNG is playing "a huge role" then you are doing something wrong:
    * under-geared / relic'd
    * inadequate modding
    * poor tactics
    * poor choice of counter for the target
  • You don't do away with it, but maybe reduce the effect. Don't set rng to 1-10000, maybe knock it back to 1-100 or 1-10. And don't massively weight in the computers favor. I mean, GAS, that was bs rng. True rng would work both ways. It didn't. 99% of the time it screwed you. That type of stuff is what has to go.

    IMO, RNG mechanism in battle is quite fine since you can counter some randomness by your action, but gambling is not (datacron and store) by law they have to give the probabilities in stores but datacrons (even mods) ....
