Why is that, because you will lose rank in the day if you battle and get ranked? So would it be better to attempt the tourney closer to deadline?

One note on being in the "lower level bracket": The prize tiers move up as you advance in levels.

So for 50-59 you will definitely have an easier time ranking hire.

However, it is likely that ranks 11-25 in levels 50-59 will get the SAME PRIZE as 26-50 in levels 60-69.

So take that into consideration also!

Yeah sorry - should have clarified, I'm level 85 and got in at around noon my time - probably 4 hrs into it already. I have a decent set of toons, but it's really tough to compete against other players who have been here since the beginning, I started toward the middle / end of this past summer.

I burned through those ally points though, it's easy to do especially if you only have a small group of good toons. I'm not even going to be able to attempt but a few tries on the Cassian tourney.
