For real though. Makes no sense. She wears is almost always when going into battle. I was seriously about to drop a few dollars to star her up once she released, but now she's gonna be as is. Ye...

I don't really get the obsession with helmets either. I do understand that the characters are more recognizable with their helmets than without, though.
Sabine's helmet and her whole kit are super-customized and unique to her. She is an artist, and her kit is evidence of that.
To put it simply, the helmets in Star Wars are cool. Pretty much across the board. Clones helmets are awesome. Vader's helmet is awesome. Mandalorian helmets are awesome. All the Stormtrooper-variant helmets are awesome.
Plus, there is something distinctly... 'off' about Sabine's face. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's freaky.
Oh, I totally agree that the helmets are cool. My indifference really has to do with a lot of the renderings and issues other than clones or Mandalorians without helmets are at the forefront for me. But, you pick your battles I suppose.
