Score Points setting defence

I played someone yesterday who only set 2 teams in defence out of the 4 and still won. They a miles lower GP and 1 less GL (he had 2 to my 3) one of which was set in their defence.

The bit I was more confused at, was the points I received for them not setting 2 out of the 4 available in defence.

I got 138 points? for them not setting defence. Is this normal? My maths isn’t brilliant and I’m not to sure what the max number of points is, but I would’ve of got more points if they had put OR and Geo’s for me to use Nest and Kylo Solo.

My point being is, you should get max points if they choose or can’t be bothered to a set defence.

    You’re asking the wrong question.

    The maximum banners for any win is 69 banners.

    You get a bonus 10 banners for your first attack - whether or not it’s a win. So on the first attack you “might” get 79, but only if you had earned the maximum banners for the win itself, which is 69.

    I am offended that you have claimed multiple times that I’m wrong about this. This is a thread that takes the question “how wrong can one man be” to new heights.


    I didn’t mean no offence. I came on hear to try and understand what your defining as max points. It’s either 79 or 69. One number is higher than the other. You said 69? I sent a screen shot showing I got more than the amount you said. If you took offence to it, it wasn’t my intention. I was just highlight that the number in the screen shot was high and therefore 69 couldn’t be the max. I’m not sure if your offended though because you were wrong or wasn’t specific enough. Either way, don’t be offended. You’ve changed the scoring system before because it wasn’t right. You get a random 10 points for turning up even though there’s no real relevance for it, just have 10 points.


    Wrong in several ways:
    It's not random.
    It's not simply for turning up.
    It's for doing your first actual attack - disregarding what the outcome of your attack is.

    It’s 10 points for turning up pal. Butter it as much as you want. First attack, Rose tico solo vs SLKR Team. She gets wiped first stroke, have 10.

    There is not a one-word answer - the correct answer is, "It depends."

    Max for first attack = 79
    Max for all other (non-fleet) attacks = 69

    At this point I feel like you're trolling...

    It’s easy to wind a few of these guys up when your as thick as me.

    You should have a look at the rumours I put on that Reddit before they get taken down.

    Tell the guys to chill out and sort their GAC scoring system out.

    I’m always looking for help.

    To everyone who has chipped in and given the me their simple answers, I just want to say thanks. It always puts a smile on my face sending my ridiculous questions. The good thing is, I now know that max score isn’t just one number.

    Choose either 69 or 79 because to make it clear “it depends”.

    Would match making not be simpler and more efficient and fairer by having less random category points than the 8 we have. (Or 7 categories if it’s not your first go)
