Shard drop rates very different

I've taken lobot from 0/100 to 97/100 in a short amount of time. Every day, 2x hard nodes only (1x12 energy 1x16 energy). I swear I hit at LEAST 2/5 for each node, each day. Found dookus shards ...

Since I got Shoretrooper to 5* I've seen a definite decline in shard drops. I was averaging 3 a day (I'd guess) but now I'm lucky to get 1.
