Except this hasn't held true historically - because the people that provide most of the funding for this game don't react the same way the mid to low spenders do. They'll continue to drop huge sums of cash and the folks that stopped spending will just get farther behind. The folks that spend hundreds or thousands a month on this game don't care about fleet crystals. They'll just buy more crystals to replace the loss and skip the frustrating daily fleet climb - if they're not already doing that. I'm not disparaging anyone for doing that - I'm just saying that your view of this seems a bit optimistic.

To be clear - I'm thankful for those high spenders - but that's the group that would have to stop spending to send any kind of meaningful message, and they won't do that. As for me, I'm definitely going back to F2P for a while - and I've adjusted my rating in the play store to reflect my feelings on what's going on right now - it won't move the needle but it's all I have control over. 

Welcome to the current state of CG.  There is no engagement anymore on the forums.  That stopped when Carrie left. 

They do not care that everyone is up in arms, and people talk about the game dying, well....  I think it's on its way out.  SWGOH is on track to make the lowest revenues since the year of its release, bugs are piling up and not being fixed, I think they've cut support staff judging by the time to get a response to a basic inquiry...  A lot of people throw that phrase around here and reddit, but I think it may truly be the start of the end for this app.  It's been a long run...

I don't know WHAT THE HELL is goin on right now with these developers. You make such a great decision with the "new player experience" only to totally take a dump on the whole dang thing. Outside of Kyber, GAC has turned into the biggest unfun pile of utter trash that's basically unplayable 80% of the time. Ooo, in chromium with 4-6mil gp? We'll have fun beating your head against 8-12 mil gp players that keep signing up and not playing to purposely fall into your bracket. It's the absolute worst pile of garbage game mode now. Then let's blow up ships with a stupid pile of idiocy called the punishing one. Followed by just randomly removing assault battles that people have been farming toward for months-yr+. WTF, trying to convince myself to keep playing at this point is really tough. I finally spent a little money for the first time in a couple months on the BH bundle, but I'm in no way motivated to spend on anything else for a while til I see some major change of direction from the one we are on at the moment, and if it just continues and becomes the steady norm, I'm just gonna cut my losses and find other things to do with my free time.
