Don't disagree with most of that, although:
"And something else that justified having people buy plane tickets to see in person is still coming."
Do you genuinely believe that they will be out of pocket by paying for their plane tickets? EA aren't hosting them, or that they can't easily pay for it from their YT revenue & then it just generates more, so pays for itself?
Hardly requires any justification.
I wouldn't be surprised if these guys doing the YT vids are much the same as the other YT vloggers who make their living from YT in that they probably have some form of contract with the property licence owner, which is confirmed by them not being able to talk until allowed, they presumably also receive payment for advertising EA's product, then also get the money from all the ppl watching the vids.
I really don't think the vloggers will pay for any of this trip, except for maybe from a slight reduction in their profit margin, which will be easily absorbed by the increase gained from the extra views anyway.
:D :D :D
How much money do you think it costs to take off 3 days from your actual job, buy a plane ticket to California, and pay for food/hotel stay for those days vs. what a YouTube channel about a phone game (a glorified hobby) rakes in?
Most of the YouTubers I know barely pay for their recording equipment if that. Maybe some of these guys make a few dollars in the end (they do good work after all), but I nearly snorted coffee out of my nose laughing at the word, "profit margins."
It depends on their subs and views, but you would probably be floored if you knew how much some bloggers made. A family member of mine is one and she makes six figures. Their trips out there were likely comped by CG.- Calling total kitten on 6 figures from YouTube. Sorry man. There's. Ot enough adds to fit into an39 minute video to pay for that salary
Wife.and I do adult film online as a source of extra.income and she is smokin hot and we.make enough for booze money. Maybe were on the wrong site? Hahah "TVF;c-1468476" wrote:
They stated Feb 28th but also said there would be more announcements and info. The raid will come out with our upcoming Quality of Life update. Expect to see some more updates on what the content will look like – and please keep an eye on forum announcements for more details!
It's possible that the updates and announcements happen on the 28th, although it's not really worded that way. It's also possible the updates and announcements happen before the 28th, but that's less likely each passing day until we hit the 28th.
Nobody knows at this point, but the closer we get to the 28th, the more likely it is that the raid doesn't get going on the 28th.
Which, to clarify, is fine with me. I'm not upset about any of this. Just pointing out that everything is still speculation. Yes it says in so many words that the raid comes out on the 28th, but everything is subject to change.
All true. BUT, I think the point of this thread was to discern if and when we are getting info prior to the 28th, I think most of us would prefer a slight heads up to prepare for the raid as best we can."DaWitchIzDed;c-1468507" wrote:

Have you not heard of Casey Neistat or Fouseytube & the like?
6 figures is not even close, try 6 zeroes following double digits!
Wow! Sorry for calling you no idea who they are but that's impressive. I watch ahnald.
Might have to talk the wife into doing intro vids on YouTube lmao- That still seems like ridiculous$$$ for not showing t&a.
Don't feel like I should be banned again for these comments I'm just floored! "DaWitchIzDed;c-1468507" wrote:

As I wrote above:
If you're regularly bringing in over 100k views on a weekly basis, as people like AhnaldT are, all of his videos have ads.
YouTube's CPM is measured & reported on average to be around $7.6 per 1,000 views.
Payment from Adsense for 100,000 views therefore equates to $760. Per video.
Last week Ahnaldt uploaded 5 videos. 5 x $760 = $3,800 per week.
Call it 4 per week for 4 weeks per month, that's $12,160 per month.
I believe you dood no need to prove you'lr case to me although I do find it hard to believe the net is wild these days"Atlas1;c-1468504" wrote:

I think you can justifiably argue that as a profit margin and also recognise that this amount is considerably greater than the cost of a 3 day trip.
Also, do you genuinely believe that someone drawing in this kind of revenue from making videos is not doing this as a full time enterprise?"DaWitchIzDed;c-1468486" wrote:

Great job. You can use google, and also know how to ignore most of what it says. Like the fact that most videos pay nothing, and that in actual practice maybe a million views makes 2 grand, and then the YouTubers only get a percentage of that."Atlas1;c-1468501" wrote:

I'm sure CG has done something to 'ease the burden' on these folks doing free ads for their game. And it's a tiny minority of people making a few bucks at this, let alone a 6 figure income.- @ReyCharles maybe. Dabbing Scoundrels? IGN is Pre Vizla.
Anyway, if Ahnald has 53k subs, he’s probably making close to 100k. YouTube ads aren’t the only source of his income. Bloggers get paid from a variety of sources. It’s not so cut and dry, and yes, it probably is his full time job.
That all said, he has that many subs for a reason. I’m looking forward to his content on the Sith Raid whenever it drops. SoonTM.
