You aren't aware of "prepared" team synergy? Qira lead with the new solo characters? They even created a new ability just for synergy...

That has nothing to do with the tag smugglers.

Think of it this way, If Kylo Ren was given a smuggler tag right now, will he have a new synergy with a toon he previously didn’t before having smuggler tag? Instead of Kylo Ren try replacing him with any other toon and the answer is the same

Probably they need to farm new char, which they think is useless in the arena.

Since Qi'ra is the only Smuggler with a leadership ability, everybody needs to be farming her ASAP. I expect the legendary requiring Smugglers to be announced in 1-2 weeks. If they give us more time than that, I'll be surprised.

Oh no. The phoniex group are not goddamned smugglers, especially by the time those screenshots are taken.

I think it's more likely that CG doesn't want players using their current Phoenix squads to easily defeat the new content - they want people to buy/invest in the new characters, so they are adding new things in-game that require the new toons.

The Smuggler tag and the "Old Republic" tag are the red flags for me.

My assumption is because lando and sthan have leadership abilities. With the current lot only qi'ra does. Which means you need to farm at least her for an optimal team for a legendary. I suspect that's in no small part the reason, they want to make sure we farm at least some of the solo story toons. Including lando and sthan would mean a legendary using the smuggler faction would have almost no chance of inducing panic farms

I am guessing the vets were added to throw a bone to all of us who 7* them just for jtr and grumbled loudly about how they were otherwise useless. Raid han to help relieve some pressure meaning we only need to farm 2 solo story toons instead of 5.

The simple answer is that none of those other toons were included because without them, Qi'ra is the only leader with the tag, and therefore she must be farmed for any events involving smugglers.

Disagree. The community spoke loud about the Hound Tooth and it received the cargo tag as a result. I'm not asking for game changers. I'm asking for appropriate tags for a charecters who deserve it

The community may have accelerated the process, but Hound's Tooth getting the cargo tag was in the works since it's kit was revealed

Guys, you play the equivalent of slots with a back story. Stop being surprised and upset when the devs create situations designed to make you spend money for an edge. Managing the constantly changing priorities IS the game.

If you disabuse yourself of the notion that you are entitled to always be able to "win" the race without paying money or guessing correctly, you will be a lot happier.
