Sniping, payout, allies and enemies.

So i finally got ahold of my shardmates. Dec 15 shard. And apparently i was marked as an enemy bc ONE time i sniped someone from either top 50 or 20. Well i have busy afternoons and evenings and rarely have time to do my arena while i am cooking dinner and helping w my 3 boys. So i normally just do battles throughout my day at work at lunch or breaks.
I think this whole "snipe" thing has been taken out of context. When u dont know anyones payout and u have a very busy schedule u play when u get free time. Ur not trying to stop their payout. Ur just playing the game and i always attacked the highest rank i could.
So i was labelled an enemy and drew extra attacks. I think i did anyways bc i dont run meta i run full empire thrawn. Now that i know everyones payout i wont attack anyone near their time. Including enemies bc thats lame. I feel this game is far to personal for some players and dont get me wrong i love this game. But man it can be a vicious scene ;)
  • Yeah, some people take it way too seriously. I'm on a shard chat and don't really care about the others, we live and let live. That, unless someone who we know his payout attacks out of hour. Then we will have to drop him to make sure he doesn't snipe. It's not a personal issue though
  • That's absurd. Obviously if you weren't on the chat, you couldn't know payout times.

There was one person I tried to stop attacking because I got a lot of bump backs from them near payout, so I figured they had the same payout time. But other than that, I just pick battles I can do. Some days it seems I am bumped a lot, and others I am left alone. Arena is arena, and I don't try to make sense of it.

Arena is a broken system & having a shard chat works around that. I'd much rather coordinate with my shard mates than have to be glued to my phone in the final hour trying to protect my payout. You also get feedback from them on how your team performs.

It's a win win. And prefer to be happy 9/10 days rather than just once every full moon just because I sniped them that time, not only that, sharing payout with other 3 people if it's scheduled you still get 425 crystals a day as an average, normally having to spend close to 0 crystals or 50 in a refresh, why not get together and work it out? Beyond my imagination.
  • Every time somebody brings this up and calls it what it is, they close down the thread. But seriously this issue has to stop.

Glad you were able to present it in a way that might stay up OP. But don't cross your fingers.
  • Liam, are you a top 10 player? There was a Liam name in my shard but he was in top 100 competing with me. December 2015 shard.
  • @Bnorth86 i was a borderline top 50. But since i got thrawn my darkside team i have been able to land top 10 and top 20 regularly.
@Curadan @TofuMao i am definitely happy to find my shard mates so i can coordinate. I was labeled an enemy bc i sniped someone once. Well i never invested time to look up 70 players payouts. I am now glad i joined. I will still more than likely do a couple attacks here and there but knowing that after 2pm no one has a payout until mine at 7pm at least lets me know i can safely climb. It is win win. When its done this way.
