This is really great. Could you give some more detailed explanations about all of the columns? Also, I see on the right that you commented that the value is based on 50 crystal refreshes. Is this a variable I can change somewhere, so that I could see if it's good value based on 100 or 200 crystal refreshes?
@Asher1138
On the "gear grind" sheet (
LINK)
A: Name of the gear
B: Number of salvage needed to craft full piece
C: Other gear required for crafting, if applicable (e.g. Chedak Mk4 needs a full Stun Cuff Mk3). Only blue+ gear mentioned (by initials + Mk number, e.g. CSC3 = Czerka Stun Cuffs Mk3). (P) means it's just a Prototype (not a full piece)
D: Minimum Energy required for farming, if applicable
E: Challenges where this is obtainable, if applicable
F: Number of salvage that might drop from AAT Heroic raid
G: Number of full prototype that might drop from AAT Heroic raid
H: Number of full gear that might drop from AAT Heroic raid
I: Number of salvage that might drop from Rancor Heroic raid
J: Number of full prototype that might drop from Rancor Heroic raid
K: Number of full gear that might drop from Rancor Heroic raid
L: Guild store: price for 1 salvage
M: Guild store: price for 1 prototype
N: Guild store: valuation of the guild currency in crystals (the more the better, e.g. 23% means 100 guild currency = 23 crystals)
O: Shard shop: price for 3 salvage
P: Shard shop: price for full gear
Q: Shard shop: valuation of the shard currency when buying 3 pieces (e.g. 14% means 100 shard currency = 14 crystals)
R: Shard shop: valuation of the shard currency when buying a full gear
S: Fleet Shipments: price for 1 salvage
T: Fleet Shipments: valuation of the fleet tokens (100 fleet tokens are worth between 7 and 17 crystals)
U: Shipments: price for full gear (crystals)
V: Shipments: price for 3 salvage (in credits)
W: Shipments: price for 50 or 60 salvage (newer gear only)
X: Shipments: price for a full prototype
Y: Shipments: price for 1 salvage in crystals
Z: Grind: price for 1 salvage assuming use of 50 crystals / 120 Energy refresh
AA: Best value for 1 salvage (minimum of Y and Z)
AB: Value of the fully crafted gear. Note that the Bacta Gel Mk3 is worth more than 3000 crystals!
AC+: Recommendation / notes
And the colors:
Green: The best option for that gear
Orange: A good option for that gear. Not the best, but not far off.
Red: bad options, paying much more than other available ones.
I had to make additional assumptions to compute a value for each row:
- Grind value for a challenge gear (e.g. Carbanti Mk3) = half-price, since you get a good deal at 0 price from challenges
- Pricing for salvage of Rancor gear is based on the total value of its components. We all know that Furnace parts aren't worth that much since it takes 2 valuable purple gear to craft a full Furnace, as opposed to the Scanner that takes a bunch of green stuff. I computed the price of those salvage as: 1400 - 300 (the Holo) - 500 (the Syringe, reduced price since it's challenge gear) = 600, divide by 50 = 12 crystals/salvage.
- Drop rates: in a small table further to the right, per gear class and energy cost. In yellow: common cases, in other colors: exceptions (e.g. the Carbanti Mk3 is the only purple available on a 8 energy node)
- Price for grind based on 50 crystals refresh. You can change the value in AM5 from 50 to 75 if you plan to use 4 refreshes at 50 - 50 - 100 - 100, or to 66 if using only 1 single refresh @100.
