We're all mad about it now, but if we were able to cheese our way through half the raid a week after it's released, what do we think that would do to our overall enjoyment of it? So yeah, I'm with you on understanding how this wasn't exactly "intended" but at the same time it's not exactly the most unthinkable strategy, so it should have been caught before this.
Fixing "bugs" after they prove incredibly effective is a sure way to lose face with the community, even if it's a reasonable fix. We shouldn't be finding these "bugs" after the release.
