Storm Trooper Han, really?

It s because some empire troopers rework or new empire toon is coming soon.
You will run them with Vader and that squad will be new meta

Last year same thing happened with GG rework first and then sep droids rework came

I would not at all be surprised if that 6% were mostly new players.
And the Monthly log in character is part of the system that CG use to encourage players to log in every day. Established players don't need encouragement, they've already decided if they're sticking around or not. But for new players, it's a good way of getting them hooked.

With all the complaints we regularly see on these forums about CG only catering to "end game content", let's not start also moaning when they do something for new players too.

Last month was CWC. I thought that that would have given you a clue as to how useful these shards usually are.

True, but I’m still not going to have any high expectations. These posts pop up every month and I just don’t get why.

Isolated incident

CG, I only need shards for SLKR, KAM, ChewPo, JKL, MoM, Mando, Karga, Cara, Red SiT, and GHux. Please cater to my needs and award shards for one of those. Or give us ship shards for once, to help me along on Raddus, Finalizer, Tie-Bomber, or Y-Wing.

The monthly log in isnt supposed to be something important to receive, the important comes from the implication.... like no one in the game needed CWC but they tossed him on the calendar and then we got chew3po

I wouldn't care if it was another useless character if it wasn't one they already did and/or was one that wasn't needed to get one of the best characters an early player can get. Honestly, Leia or old Ben would have been nice and I have those. If its an empire character coming, snow death shore storm trooper would have been good choices too or Saxon or stark or IPD or ISC. It feels lazy on their part. Like the May the 4th packs in July or AB challenge tier 3 with 5th he said rewards as 2. I'm all for throwing new players a bone. Make it a more use one then like Traya or Raid Han or GK or JKA, all of which have been done. There's a bunch of characters that unlock at 3 stars. Pick one of those that haven't been done and it might get new players to go after that one early. IF its a new Han, and I agree we probably don't need another, Young Han's not been done. Not the best scoundrel but scoundrels are important for early players. I would say we've not had CHolo either but we all know that'll never happen this close to the release of JKL.
