Suggestion: Destroy capital ship to win

The ship battle would be much funnier if we need to destroy all enemy ships and enemy capital ship to end the battle.
- Capital ships have high protection and HP
- Capital ships are immune to stun and ability lock, also take reduced damage from DOT and expose.
- Strategical Dominance deal 50% of maximum hp to enemy capital ship instead of instant defeat, this attack ignores protection.
Capital ship abilities that are not an attack can choose between apply them on all ally ships or apply them on capital ship itself with different effects
- When Master Plan applies to Home One, it also grants Home One 100% turn meter instead of 30%
- When Convergence applies to Endurance, it also grants Endurance 100% protection and damage immunity on Endurance can't be dispelled
- When Strategical Dominance applies to Chimaera, it recovers 35% protection and hp instead of 100%.

Now capital ship star rank are not important, back-up ships are not quite useful, because all ships are destroyed so fast, you dont' even get a chance to call back-ups. But when capital ship is required to be destroyed, the advantage of the numbers of back-ups which is the star rank of capital ships will become more significant to ship battles.

    Why no tarkin?

Tarkin's Imperial Assault is neither too op nor too weak when attacking enemy capital ship, no need any changes
  • So you're suggesting that Home One uses its special just to give itself 100% TM? Wouldn't that be the same as, you know, just using something else instead?
  • I think it is already in the game file, just waiting for release. In swgoh.gg you can see 'Health' of all 4 capital ships. Home One being the lowest with 109k HP, Executrix being the highest with above 120k HP. Endurance and Chimaera were the 3rd and 2nd respectively, near110k

    For example

    Chimaera: Power55320 Speed153 Health110,900

I suggest grants it 100% turn meter AND the master plan buff, which allows it to use 2 more skill in a row and with no CD

Wow, they do have hp. That's great

Not sure about that. Since the fixed it it will now target only alive ships. Which means in the scenario given that means 12x 23k damage for about 280k damage in one attack, even if you say ship has 20% armor that is still 12 x 18k for 213k damage, even higher if they crit. It will also stun them if they are target locked. Seems like pretty strong attack
  • I think this would just lead to horribly long ship battles.

In my opinion, a better way of doing it would be to let you attack the capital ship at any time, but keep the ability to win the match by destroying all the enemy's small ships. The idea being that you CAN attack the enemy capital ship and try to win that way, but if they destroy all your small ships while you focus on the big one, they'll win.

This way gives you the genuinely interesting tactical decision of 'do I think I can take out their capital ship quickly enough?'

Yeah... it seems would be even funnier
  • *spoiler*

Except as episode 8 showed, a single fighter can blow up any part of a ship ignoring shields or even destroy it outright with one salvo of missiles/bombs
