Target lock
When assessing a ship for my ship squad, I follow this algorithm:
1. Can it inflict target lock? If no, don't use it.
2. Is it otherwise useful? If no, include it if there are no other options.
That's it. That's my entire process. Target lock is absolutely essential to a fleet. Ahsoka? JC? Great ships! ... except for the fact that they can't inflict target lock ... which actually makes them useless.
All ships need to have the ability to inflict target lock-- even if it's just a 5% chance on basic. As it stands, the already limited selection of ships is even smaller than it seems.
