While this was quite a long time ago, (and I don't have the energy to go hunt for the specific posts), I remember this quite differently.

IIRC, Geo was supposed to be 4 phases with 24 hours each. Due to technical limitations in how the game mode was originally implemented, they learned that they could not have some guilds doing TB for 4 days and others doing it for 6 days. So they extended the Geo phases to 36 hours to make it also run 6 days and punted the problem to a future update, which of course never happened.

Thinking the change was in response to customer feedback is either incredibly generous or naïve, depending on how cynical you are. That said, I do think the 36 hour phases ended up being better for international guilds (like mine) and the transition back to 24 hours has been very frantic.

I like the 24 hour change now that I have lived through it for a few days. My guild assigned operations aka platoons assignments based on availability to get in quickly, this is a team event and the points earned from an operation outweigh the battle. Do I want to gear and relic a low priority character to never enjoy? not really but I will so the entire guild can perform better based on my effort. Remember when we unlocked the Wampa to turn around and put him in a platoon before even using him? well as least ROLO, Ugnaught, etc... are not in a high demand to use elsewhere.
I think the harder part for guild leaders will be gauging when those that can attempt battles are done so deployments can open to preload for stars, etc... Tracking 49 other players progress once you hit the tier 3 layer of planets that need R7s seems complicated plus the sheer number of missions that require specific characters at relic levels.

Why I call bs on the wrong answer to the question. 36 hour phase would have been a 9 day tb, maybe they figured out a way around what ever technical issue they had in the past but I don't see them running one tb longer (or shorter) than another.

Time constraints many complain about with any of the phase times would be eliminated if they would just give players the option to allow officers to fill platoons and deploy on thier behalf (without haveing the security breach of a couple people having 50 logins)
With it as a player initiated option guilds can work it out themselves how they handle it all, and those that like to wait around for all this stuff can still carry in like things are.

24 hour phases is why we have 6 instead of just 4.

I miss the 36 hour phases already, at least then I had a couple nights off during TB week.
This week has been nothing but CM after CM once fleet is over.

Love the 24 hour phases. Gives me more things to do each day instead of just collecting energy and spinning characters.

I like the 24 hour phases because the battles aren't a slog. Probably spending same total time on TB, but now it's spread out over 6 sessions instead of 4.

It is worth noting number of waves can depend on preloading versus charging forward.

the only issue i had with 24 hour phases was

> wait for platoons to be done
> wait for everyone to do CM
> then deploy

it was too much time constraints, and i prefer having 24 hour timer to do all your stuff in game in one sitting, TB requires multiple sittings

1) No, create your routine because it won't happen.
2) End of TB rewards and GET3 will help you relic your characters
