You have to have something useful left to fight with.
I doubt majority of people want to give up their favorite sqaud for defense.
Most people want to play with their meta not donate it

But usually when we talk about meta we are talking about the best defensive teams that can hold rank. Everyone will keep teams like resistance for offense that can cruise through anyone.
