People aren’t ignoring your issue, just not everyone agrees with you.
Rex, Sun Fac, Poe, DN, Shore, Baze, Chirrut, Thrawn, Darth Nihilus, R2, BB8, Shore, Sith Assassin, Sith Trooper, Wampa, Hermit Yoda, Imperial Probe Droid, Kyo Ren, General Kenobi, Han Solo, Old Ben, Dooku, Jawa Engineer and more have all at one time or another been a significant portion of top 20 arena teams, while being able to be used under starred/geared compared to their competition. You suggest this is a new thing that Nightsister Zombie started, it’s not that at all. The game always has had characters that can be used at lower investment cost while still getting decent rewards.
Also the premise that a paper zombie is better then an actual starred and geared one is false, the biggest advantage paper zombie gives is that those recourses can go elsewhere and still be able to pull her weight(although less effectively).
