So, people get upset because 1m GP players can compete with 3m GP players? Sounds to me like people just don't like new competition.
Well, guess what, you can only field 5 players in arena. Your 3m GP mean nothing for arena but I am sure you get much better results in raids, TWs, TBs, etc. For arena a large part of your 3m GP will have bought you time on top in the past. As this game has constant powercreep investments in teams that are currently meta in arena will eventually be useless for arena as meta changes but will have reaped rewards while they were meta. Therefore you already got your rewards for your investments.
I think it is good for the game that people can actually catch up by going for the latest reworks. They will still be on a long-term competitive disadvantage by not getting as good rewards from the GP related guild activities. Let them enjoy their short stunt of competitiveness once in a while.
P.S.: I love the NS rework because they have a unique feel and mechanisms to them instead of piling ever more abilities on one character with ever higher values. NS are probably my favourite rework. And yes, they were the perfect counter to a highly boring meta that made every team in the top look like the same. Good thing they shook it up a bit.
