Do the maths and you'll see you'll have to spend more tokens for the same number of gear.
Even though you can use other currency than fleet store, you're going to spend more tokens.

And who says I need more zetas? Zetas are on the bottom of my priorities right now, I'll be farming Chirrutz, Clones, Ships and FOTP first. Which I could do while I was buying gear from that store.
