The shard system sucks

I recently came back to the game and realized that my account is unplayable. I started playing around 2016 and quit the game in 2019. The people on my shard kept going and now the arenas and gac are unplayable because everyone has  endgame accounts. I wish there was a way I could play people around my GP. This wouldn't be an issue if players were not separated in shards. Imagine if the game had global rankings and you could play against anyone, wouldn't that be cool? I will not start over, with a new account. I guess I'm done for good this time.
