A few things here that have been commented on:
1: Be a hero to another guild? You mean a Merc? Remember how well THAT turned out for players and "guild hopping" and the general perception of those who did it? Besides, when new content comes out, you will probably see more guilds gutted anyways. Also, oh, now there's a cooldown on raid rewards. And before the "you don't need raid rewards" comments come in, just stop it. Think before you type.
2: I think QUITE a few here missed the over arcing point. There really is no incentive to spend in this game much anymore. That's bad for the game. Maybe EA / CG are trying new approaches to get more casual spenders with the price pack point. I'm actually OK with that. The point is now everyone f2p has caught up. whales need an incentive to spend again to put them out of reach for a bit.
3: Everyone is ASSUMING GvG is going to utilize whole rosters. Kozi confirmed that the next game mode will utilize both characters and ships, HOWEVER, there is absolutely ZERO confirmation that this is GvG, just the next game mode which could be PvE or another Raid. Until that is confirmed it's nothing but pure speculation.
4: Speaking of Raids, shouldn't we be due for another one here shortly?
Again, over arcing point is whales no longer have any sort of advantage and need some incentive to spend. I know quite a few whales that have stopped because it's pointless. I know even MORE that won't spend going forward because of ATF not working as advertised.
