If you believe it was an accident. Wouldnt surprise me if this is a new bussines strategy to make character look better when they're new while allowing CG to tone them down before the next big thing comes out. They did a similar thing with Malevolence not too long before Executor was released.
It's not new "strategy". This happened a lot with introduction of new meta: NS, JKR (Jolee), DR (fBastila, Malak), Negotiator (Anakin's ship), Rey team (after owning FO, devs buffed SLKR 3-4 times in a row and then few buffs here and there, most buffed character in history of swgoh), QGJ's omicron Chimera (Tie Reaper played with TM), Cheeze meta (Chirrut), R2d2 (thrawn got buff after R2d2's event).
Well, this happened often even with non-meta
But It's funny that character which is supposed to be a new "trump card" gets nerfed just so the favorite "SKLR" can have a better chance at him, and other teams like IT
