Thoughts on Thermal Detonators?
I don't see the point of detonators (at least not right now) because of the Arena battles lasting a couple turns. Speed for some characters are two high so some characters die too quickly, detonators ...

You don't use Engineer for his damage. The Detonator is part of his kit to compensate for having two incredibly strong abilities.
They're not useless in galactic war, you use them as Darth Blart suggests. It's a strategy that takes more than 2 seconds of thought, though, so I can see how this board would have trouble grasping it.
lol, yes, you actually have to click on a different target and apply the td, then click back on the intial zerg
