Guilds should be able to choose expanded or standard - like I mentioned - mirroring current TB models.
And TW is always optional to join.
yes - I estimated 3 mins on average, but also gave max battle times of 5 mins for reference. Some battles are under 2 mins in TW. So for an easy reading point I conservatively used 3mins as what to expect from a normal TW battle.
How else would a person reasonably present time required for game changes? Grab me a source for top 100 TW guilds median battle times and I’ll gladly swap those out for you.
It’s hard for me to understand not wanting to play the fun parts of SWGOH for an extra 15 min in 24 hrs - max 25 mins over 24 hours for the overall health of the game. Especially when a massive majority of the player base wouldn’t even notice a difference in game time realistically.Ohhhhh. You're one of the people who think TW is fun.
It's not extra 25 minutes over 24 hours. No one spends 24 hours being locked in, ready to do TW battles. Take out an 8 hour work day, 8 hours of sleep/rest, several more hours for daily errands, eating, you know, real life. It's not 25 more minutes out of 24 hours, mate. It's probably closer to 25 extra minutes out of 2 hours that a player who gives a crap about TW can allocate to actual SWGOH gameplay on TW attack days.
Games like SWGOH must reckon with the reality that for a non-zero portion of the player base it's a toilet game that is played for 15 minutes a day when someone does #2. SWGOH can't keep expanding and expanding and expanding to demand more and more of a person's time out of a day. Notice how CG made a point to highlight that they anticipated Coliseum to take no more than 2 minutes a day when this huge new part of the game with all of its new currencies, gear, and a whole new progression system was added. SWGOH isn't a game that can just add 15 minutes to daily play. CG have to carefully consider demanding 1.5 extra minutes a day from the players.
TW is currently a nearly irrelevant game mode. The rewards were pitiful before the anniversary update. Now, with dcron economy changing, the embarrassing fiasco with set 25, and droid brains being craftable, TW lost even more relevance. It's the last game mode that deserves dev time and updates.
A tangential point: the fact that TW omicrons still cost 20 materials when they see less use than the 3v3/5v5 GAC omicrons, which are half price, is utterly ridiculous. TW omicrons should cost maybe 8 mats.Ohhhh your one of the people who do the bare minimum let the rest of the guild carry you for rewards. Got it….
Your guild has an all time win rate of 45% in TW, yeah checks out as to why this is your stance.
The top end of our guild is doing 16+ attacks (which is double the 8 squad zones needed for 2% to keep it simple for you). Just like every other game mode, the top 30% of the guild who enjoys the event will carry the bottom 30% of the guild. Ideally everyone would do their 2%, but that’s not often the case in function.
As it’s been stated, it would be an optional format and TW is always optional to join. … so if you really don’t enjoy TW, don’t join? Just such an odd position to take that you don’t want the game to update and evolve for the people who actually enjoy playing.

If it’s outdated and irrelevant - then it needs updating. That makes sense right?you have time to argue with someone on the forums, you probably have more time to give your TW officers during attack phase haha 😆
The amount of time you spend on the forums is crazy 😅, you should spend some of that time in game instead.
Oh stop, do you really just wanna sim everything in the game and not get to play with your toys for a bit ?
I get plenty of playtime between GAC, Conquest and TB. TW is set def, collect 2nd place loot.
