I love it how people can get all worked up about things like this, haha.
According to the devs matchmaking isn't only based on active GP, so apparantly some other factors also weight in. Who knows what they are..
It wouldn't be fair if guilds that get matched up with guilds in a higher GP bracket get better rewards than a guild that isn't matched with a guild in a higher GP bracket. Who knows why they're matched with a guild with more GP? So maybe the match isn't unfair at all and they just get better rewards based on luck (matching a favourable guild that is in a higher GP bracket).
