No, I'm not missing your point. You want to whine about something that isn't true. Good luck with your quest 

Late game players don't need to catch up, that'll be because we are in the late game. We also have crystals and resources because we manage our resources not because we've paid for them.

You also don't seem to get that new characters are aimed at late game players and that early / mid game players should be building core teams so that they can access the same rewards that helped long term players build their accounts.

As for more P2W, I'm K2 (mostly f2P, as I buy the passes) and yes there is a level above me that spend more than I do but that never stopped my progress and I certainly don't whinge about not being able to keep up with whales who arguably keep this game free for many.
