Nonsense, you're in the early / mid game you shouldn't be chasing the new stuff, and instead should be focusing on your core roster and working towards your first GL and "GL" ship to compete in fleet arena.
Of course you can buy new stuff but quite rightly that should be your only route as long term f2p players will have taken 5 years or so building their accounts to get to a point where new toons are the priority.
This is a you issue, and quite frankly an entitled viewpoint as you seem to think YOU shouldn't have to either A) work and be patient or B) spend money to make faster progress.
