What is the minimum power anyone has managed to unlock chewie at 5*

I used boba (leader) g12, ig g11, zam g10, greedo and dengar g9 with my arena mods. I think it will pretty hard for you :/

I don't think power is the key to focus. I unlocked the 5* Chew with 11G Bossk (6*) lead and gear8 bobba, bane, greedo, Sam. No zetas. But it felt very RNG deppendat. For what I've seen if you don't have Bossk (or any newer toon like Jango) Dengar is a MUST. So It'll avoid R2 to smoke screend everyone. Hope it helps you.

I personally am only level 78 so despite leveling bounty hunters since i started i only have about 52,000 power. I can probably get 5 gear 8 bounty hunters including zam and dengar before the end of the event and so probably finish at about 60,000 anyone reckon that will be enough?

With bossk MAYBE but you'd also need all their omegas maxed and good rng

I don't think it's too much more than what you have. If you have 5 7*, level 85, gear 8 BH, I think you should be able to unlock 5* Chewie.

I used Boba lead with as much potency as possible on all BH and crit chance on Greedo.

Wow, that is very under geared, how many tries till you unlocked Chewie? I just need to get Zam to 5* and 5 more shards for Dengar. I might give it a try before the event ends.

I just unlocked 6* this morning without ether Bossk or Dengar, but the gear requirement is pretty steep (G12 Boba, G11 Cad/Greedo, G10.5 IG-88 and a poor G8 Zam cannon fodder, all with arena mods and and 70+ potency as a minimum). This seems to be roughly in line with the "recommended gear" (G11+), maybe slightly below it which is why it required a healthy dose of restarts and near-perfect RNG to be successful. So, I'd expect that you'll probably need G10 if you plan on throwing "any old BH" in T5, though you could be succesful if you have a lineup that is better for taking out this event (Dengar and/or Bossk). I'd say with proper RNG, you stand a decent chance be able to beat the 5* with G8 Bossk (L), Dengar, Boba, Greedo and Cad. The farther you get from that lineup the higher your gear requirements will be. Also, if you've got someone other than Zam (like IG-88) I'd recommend gearing them first since she is probably the worst in this event (basic is weak without detonators and all her specials feed enemy TM). You'll need to rely on TMR and hi damage to win rather than debuffs (detonators). If she's all you got, then just mod her for health/protection and potency (if you have a boba lead) to increase everyone else's health until she dies. Don't worry about speed for her.

I wasn't counting, but I would estimate about 20 tries. Kill Chewie first, then get Han for contract (with Boba lead; Han always shoot first). Dengar is important because when he is stealthed, he prevents R2 from applying stealth with his smokescreen.

What really did it for me is when I adjusted my mods so that Bossk had higher speed than Boba. The Hunting Party would call assists to weaken and debuff Chewie, and Execute would finish him off.

Greedo was also important. With high crit chance, he gets a high chance of bonus attacks on his basic and assists, and his Threaten special removed an almost full TM and gave him enough TM to take another turn immediately.
